We are Bridges of Hope, and have been serving our communities since March 2007. We are dedicated to helping people who struggle with symptoms from mental health, substance abuse and developmental disabilities. We are compassionate about helping people by offering a personalized "bridge of hope" to help get through and over the area(s) that are scary, difficult, and at times seemingly impossible to go through alone. We know that each person has his/her own personal differences and find very unique challenges to overcome. This is why our name is Bridges of Hope, to say that every person must cross his/her own bridge over his/her own individual challenges, and we are here to support and guide the way; one step at a time.
Our employees undergo extensive background checks to rule out any negative impact on serving our clients. We feel that education is the key to making good decisions and offer a broad array of training to help prepare for and deal with various situations. We train staff on evidence based models including cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma focused therapy and illness management and recovery treatment. Our Medical Director/Psychiatrist and Licensed Clinical Director(s) provide extensive supervision and trainings with each employee and encourage career development outside of the office setting. Bridges of Hope is always looking for dynamic and creative employees to help in efforts to improve the quality of life for those we serve and the community as a whole.
As a CABHA (Critical Access Behavioral Health Agency) our continuum of services is where we shine. When a person walks through our door, we are ready to help whether it be that the person needs individual therapy due to troubling times, or whether it a more severe need of help such as ACTT or Partial Hospitalization as an alternative to state psychiatric hospitalization. One of the many areas that we are most proud of is our Transitional Services. We feel that our unique center of excellence provides assistance with meeting the basic needs of clients being discharged from Psychiatric Hospital settings while offering immediate mental health services beginning from the inside of the hospital. Our statistical data has evidenced the program to be effective in preventing re-hospitalization or incarceration to adults who suffer from extreme mental health illnesses and are at high risk for homelessness, institutionalization or incarceration. In fact, this program has received recognition from the State of North Carolina as being a model program because of the effectiveness in prevention of re-institutionalization and/or incarceration. We pride ourselves on evidence based techniques and practices that work! This is one area that makes Bridges of Hope shine in our communities here in North Carolina.
As part of our commitment to help individuals improve their quality of life we will meet them where they are. This is both figuratively and literally. For intakes we will come to the client's home or place of residence, meet at a designated community location, or meet at our office. We feel that people are more open to treatment when they are in a comfortable environment. We understand the challenges people face and how difficult it can be to actually reach out for help. To assist our clients, we our prompt in responding to their needs and new clients will receive verbal contact within 48 hours of the referral and have face to face contact within 10 working days or sooner depending on the severity of need.
We would like to thank you for your interest in becoming involved with Bridges of Hope. We are dedicated to helping people, restoring the community, changing the economy and improving quality of life.
